"The Causal Effects of Place on Health and Longevity" (Deryugina, et. al 2023) is an academic journal regarding the causal effects of one's residing location on various health outcomes. This article discusses life expectancy disparities present in different counties in America and the implications to be made from a location's access to healthcare, education, proper nutrition, and peer interests. It is important to be able to understand external effects in economics and how these incites can be considered in data collection techniques. Alex Bodeker performed a presentation on the article's findings, his own findings, and future decisions that can be made to decrease this health disparity.
