My Academic Journey

Alex Joseph Bodeker is a current Business Administration major focusing in management at the State University of New York at Oneonta, where he takes classes for operational efficiency, computer software application, strategic management, data systems, and economics.

Bodeker has performed well in the various aspects of his major. He is BMC certified through Bloomberg Terminal, where he learned the intricacies of economic indicators, currencies, fixed income, and equities. He passed the ETS Major Field Test in Business with a 158, combining knowledge from all business/related courses. He is also certified in knowledge of the use of Power BI and Power Query software in data analytics through DataCamp, and is very familiar with use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. He is affiliated with use of SAP ERP, a valuable software for streamlining services and providing transparency through real-time insights using centralized databases.

These skills have been applied to his work in comprehending financial statements, allocating human resources, creating reports and dashboards, and presenting these ideas effectively. He has a knack for live presentation, turning otherwise complicated topics into something more simple and interactive, pulling from his love of music and performance art.

"Alex’s ability to work collaboratively and communicate
effectively was evident through his outstanding performance in group presentations. His ability
to articulate insights clearly and contribute meaningfully to team efforts highlights his readiness
to thrive in a professional setting like Sodexo."
